 センテナリーレイクにいたコシグロペリカンたち。

There were a flock of Australia Pelican at Centenary Lakes.

 集団で食事中でした。息がぴったりでバレエダンサーのよう。

They were hunting in a group.

海でも。食事中かしら。    I saw them from Esplanade.

 ケアンズでよく見かけるペリカン。早朝、まだお休み中。

You can see Australia Pelican in Cairns. They were still asleep in the early morning.

 目の周りが白い。　　They have white eye rings.

アカメカモメ Swallow-tailed Gull

 アオアシカツオドリやグンカンドリ に出会った島で、アカメカモメもいた。夜行性だそうです。

I saw Swallow-tailed Gull on North Seymour Island. It is the only nocturnal gull.

 毎年、バスを降りると最初に歓迎してくれるのは、たいていニュウナイスズメ。
