カンムリカイツブリ Great Crested Grebe

 新潟県福島潟には、カンムリカイツブリが何羽もいました。

I saw many Great Crested Grebe in Fukushima-gata in Niigata Prefecture.

 ２羽のカンムリカイツブリが追いかけっこ。

I noticed that a Great Crested Grebe was chasing after another one.

 並ぶと大きさが違うのがよくわかる。

Male Great Crested Grebe is bigger than female one.

オオハクチョウ Whooper Swan

 コハクチョウと一緒にオオハクチョウもいました。体が少し大きく、くちばしの黄色い部分も大きい。

コハクチョウ Tundra Swan

 マガンたちと一緒にハクチョウたちもいました。コハクチョウたち。

There were swans in the area where thousands of Greater White-fronted Goose migrate to. Tundra Swan

オオワシ Steller’s Sea Eagle

 長浜市には、毎年やって来るオオワシがいます。山本山のおばあちゃんという愛称で親しまれています。

This old Steller’s Sea Eagle migrates to Nagahama City every year.

オオヒシクイ Tundra Bean Goose

 蕪栗沼には多くのオオヒシクイが休んでいました。

There were many Tundra Bean Goose in Kabuki-numa in Miyagi Prefecture.

 琵琶湖の湖北にも毎年オオヒシクイがやって来ます。

The first time I saw Tundra Bean Goose was in Shiga Prefecture.

アオガン Red-breasted Goose

 日本で確認されたのはまだ２回目だったそうで、会えてラッキー。マガンの群れにいました。

It was the second time to identify Red-breasted Goose migrate to Japan. I saw a Red-breasted Goose among lots of Greater White-fronted Goose.

シジュウカラガン Lesser Canada Goose

 飛んでいるマガンたちの下に、シジュウカラガンの群れと数羽のマガン。

There was a flock of Lesser Canada Goose below flying Greater White-fronted Goose.

カリガネ Lesser White-fronted Goose

 マガンに似ているけれど、顔の白い部分が大きくてアイリングがある。マガンより神経質ですぐ飛んでいってしまう。

Lesser White-fronted Goose is more timid than Greater White-fronted Goose.

マガン Greater White-fronted Goose

 宮城県の伊豆沼や蕪栗沼には約20万羽のマガンが毎年やって来る。

Greater White-fronted Goose migrate to Miyagi Prefecture every year.

初めて訪れて、その数に驚いた。

I was surprised at the number of Greater White-fronted Goose.

ハヤブサ Peregrine Falcon

 このハヤブサが初見。鉄塔にいたのを見つけた。

I found Peregrine Falcon for the first time in my life in 2016.
