メジロキバネミツスイ New Holland Honeyeater

 ホオジロキバネミツスイと思ったら、白黒の顔が違ってた。

They look like White-cheeked Honeyeater. But they have white ear patches and white eyes.

 パースでは、あちこちで見かけた。 I often saw them in Perth.

アカガシラソリハシセイタカシギ Red-necked Avocet

 ロットネスト島では、もう一種類のセイタカシギがいました。

Red-necked Avocet were eating at a lake in Rottnest Island.

ムネアカセイタカシギ Banded Stilt

 ロットネスト島で、最初はオーストラリアセイタカシギに出会った。次に見つけたのがこの無数のセイタカシギ。首の後ろが黒くないと気づき、違う種類だとわかった。成鳥には胸に茶色のバンドがある。

At first I thought they were Pied Stilt. It was wrong. They are Banded Stilt.

オーストラリアミヤコドリ Australian Pied Oystercatcher

 海岸を歩くオーストラリアミヤコドリ。

I saw an Australian Pied Oystercatcher walking on the beach.

ムギワラトキ Straw-necked Ibis

 ダーウィンには、ムギワラトキもいました。羽の色がきれい。

Straw-necked Ibis have beautiful plumage.
