コアオバト Pink-necked Green Pigeon

 スンゲイブロウ湿地保護区で出会った、きれいなハト。

I met Pink-necked Green Pigeon in Sungei Buloh.

キタカササギサイチョウ Oriental Pied Hornbill

 シンガポールの植物園で、高い木の上に大きな鳥が留っているのに気付いた。ズームで見てビックリ。こんな鳥が都会の真ん中の植物園に飛んで来るなんて。

I noticed that a big bird was sitting on the top of a tall tree in Botanic Garden in Singapore. 

 近くにあと２羽いました。          I found two more Oriental Pied Hornbill.

背景の葉が大きいので、小さな鳥の置物に見える。。。        It looked like a stuffed bird.

チョウゲンボウ Kestrel

石垣島で出会ったオスのチョウゲンボウは、

Kestrel which I met in Ishigakijima Island in January was

何度も虫を獲っては、食べていました。

catching insects and eating them.

だんだん私に近付いてきて、最後はほぼ真上の電線に。

He was getting near to me.

また獲物を探して、羽ばたいています。　　He was hunting again.

チョウゲンボウ Kestrel

 電柱のてっぺんに留っていたオスのチョウゲンボウ。

I found that Kestrel was sitting on an electric pole.

いろいろな表情を見せてくれた。　　It was a beautiful bird.

コウハシショウビン Stork-billed Kingfisher

 シンガポール動物園でサルたちを見ていたら、池を眺めるトリに気付いた。

When I was watching monkeys in Singapore Zoo, I noticed a kingfisher was looking down a pond.

私を見に来たかのように飛んできて、すぐ飛び去った。

It flew toward me and looked at me. Then it flew away.

アオショウビン White-throated Kingfisher

 ジュロン・バードパークでお散歩している時、美しい鳥に気付いた。

When I was stroling in Jurong Bird Park, I noticed that a beautiful bird was looking at me.

 シンガポールで何度か見かけたカワセミ科のトリ。かわいい。

I saw Collared Kingfisher in Sungei Buloh Wetland Reserve.

キバラタイヨウチョウ Olive-backed Sunbird

 気温３０℃以上のとても暑い日でした。夕方、職員がホースで水を撒いた後、草の上に残った水滴で水浴びをしていた。

Olive-backed Sunbird was bathing with the sprinkled water in the park.

 水浴びを終えて、身繕い。　　She was grooming.

キバラタイヨウチョウ Olive-backed Sunbird

 シンガポールのバードパークで出会ったキバラタイヨウチョウは、

Olive-backed Sunbird which I saw in Jurong Bird Park had

くちばしから胸に一本の線。

a line on its throat.

キバラタイヨウチョウ Olive-backed Sunbird

 キバラタイヨウチョウは長い舌を持つ。。。　　They have a long tongue.

 その舌を使って、花の蜜を食べているのでしょう。　　They eat nectar.
