海外のメジロ White-eye

 メジロは各地方で少し違うようです。台湾の高雄で出会ったメジロ。I saw White-eye in the different countries. I met this White-eye in Kaohsiung in Taiwan.　　　　2013年 11月　高雄 台湾

リュウキュウメジロ Ryukyu White-eye

 本州のメジロより、少し小柄でお腹が白い。沖縄本島、やんばるの森で出会った。

Ryukyu White-eye is a little smaller than Japanese White-eye. I saw it in the northern part of Okinawa, Yanbaru.

 桜の花にメジロを見かけるようになりましたね。Japanese White-eye was eating nectar.

 パフィンたちと一緒にいるのは、オオハシウミガラス。Razorbill with Puffins

ウミガラス Common Murre

根室でウミガラスに出会った。でもなんだか変。冬羽でした。

I saw Common Murre in January in Nemuro. It was in winter feather.

アトリ Brambling

昨年、初めて出会った。こんなにきれいな鳥が、冬に来ていたなんて。

I saw Brambling last year for the first time in my life. I didn’t know such pretty birds came Kobe every winter.

ミミカイツブリ Horned Grebe

納沙布岬で出会った、ミミカイツブリたち。寒さがしのげるハイドから、ゆっくり眺めていました。

冬羽なのでシンプルな色合い。夏羽も見てみたいなぁ。

I saw Horned Grebe from an observation hut behind a lighthouse of Cape Nosappu.

カンムリカイツブリ Australian Crested Grebe

ニュージーランドのミルフォードトラックに向かう前、クイーンズタウンで出会ったカンムリカイツブリ。食事の時間だったのか、何度も何度も潜っていた。やっと撮れた１枚。

I met Australian Crested Grebe in Queenstown in NZ. It was beautiful.

カンムリカイツブリ Great Crested Grebe

 大きなカイツブリもいました。カンムリカイツブリ。

Great Crested Grebe is bigger than Little Grebe.

数日前、同じ場所で見かけた鳥。この鳥もカンムリカイツブリなのでしょうか。

カイツブリ Little Grebe

 よく見かけるカイツブリだけど、すばしっこくてすぐ潜るので、なかなか撮らせてくれない。
今日は、のんびり浮かんでいました。

Little Grebe move quickly, often dive into the water.  It’s difficult to take pictures of them. Today it was floating calmly.

カイツブリは他の水鳥に比べて小さい。Little Grebe is smaller than other water birds.

ケアンズでも、ヘラサギに出会った。海岸で出会ったり、　I saw Royal Spoonbill in Australia.

ヘラサギ Spoonbill

３羽いた！　１羽は顔が黒くないので、ヘラサギ?!

There were three. One of them was Spoonbill.

クロツラヘラサギ Black-faced Spoonbill

クロツラヘラサギが冬を過ごしていると知り、那覇へ行ってみた。本当にいた！　

しゃもじのようなくちばし。世界に約2000羽しかいない、絶滅危惧種。

I flew to Okinawa to meet Black-faced Spoonbill. They are endangered species.

ミサゴ Osprey

 宍道湖で初めて出会って、宮崎でも出会った。ここでも出会えたね。

一羽が大きな魚を獲ってきた。Osprey hunted a fish.

サシバ Gray-faced Buzzard-Eagle

 チョウゲンボウに出会う前、サシバがいました。縦縞なのでまだ幼鳥かしら。
Before I saw Kestrel, I saw Gray-faced Buzzard-Eagle which had horizontal stripes. It might be young.　　　2015年 2月　沖縄県 国頭村

石垣島でも、出会いました。こちらは横縞のオトナ。
I saw Gray-faced Buzzard-Eagle which had vertical stripes in Ishigaki Jima. It must be grown-up.
