モズ Bull-headed Shrike

メスは少し優しそうな顔。   Female Bull-headed Shrike looks gentle.

コクマルガラス Daurian Jackdaw

 ミヤマガラスたちと一緒に行動する、小さいカラスに気づいた。鳴き声も可愛くて、本当にカラスなのかと何度も目を凝らした。右がコクマルガラス。　　Daurian Jackdaw is smaller than Rook.

クロジ Grey Bunting

 見慣れないホオジロのような鳥。クロジのメスのよう。

I noticed an unfamiliar bird. She may be a female Grey Bunting.

 黒っぽい鳥が飛び出してきた。クロジのオスかな？

Then a darkish bird came out. He may be a male Grey Bunting.

ホオアカ Grey-headed Bunting

ホオジロに似ているけど、ほっぺが赤い。初めまして。

Grey-headed Bunting looks like Meadow Bunting.

車道わきの植え込みの上に、ホオジロのつがいがそっといた。

I met a couple of Meadow Bunting by a road in Izumi City.

 とっても可愛い！　　　　They were so cute!

 出水市では、あちこちで見かけた。　　I saw several Meadow Bunting on the day.

ジョウビタキ Daurian Redstart

 毎年やってくる人懐っこい鳥。   

Daurian Redstart is one of my favorite birds. He was adorable.

 黒い実を一飲み！     He swallowed a nut.

ソウシチョウ Red-billed Leiothrix

 ソウシチョウの群れに会うことはよくあるけど、すばしっこくてなかなか撮れない。美しい色合いにビックリした。

They move swiftly, so it’s difficult to take pictures of them.

カワラヒワ Oriental Greenfinch

 各地でよく見かける。 I often see them at many places in Japan.

カワラヒワの美しい黄色い羽根が特徴的。  They have beautiful yellow feathers.

ニュウナイスズメ Russet Sparrow

 ニュウナイスズメの大集団に出会ったのは出水市。可愛い顔。

I met some huge flocks of Russet Sparrows in Izumi. They don’t have a black patch on each cheek.

 アトリ、スズメ、ニュウナイスズメの混合集団。

Brambling, Eurasian Tree Sparrow and Russet Sparrow

カワラヒワとニュウナイスズメ。出水市には、ナベヅルやマナヅル以外にも、たくさんの渡り鳥が滞在中。

Oriental Greenfinch and Russet Sparrow. There are lots of migrant birds in Izumi, such as Hooded Crane and White-naped Crane.

スズメ Eurasian Tree Sparrow

 日本ではよく見かけるスズメ。イエスズメと違って、ほっぺが黒い。

Eurasian Tree Sparrow has a black patch on each cheek, that’s different from House Sparrow.
