オオアカゲラ White-backed Woodpecker

台湾の阿里山で出会ったアカゲラは、オオアカゲラでした。

ルリチョウ Taiwan Whistling Thrush

 遊歩道の近くでルリチョウを見かけた。

I found a Taiwan Whistling Thrush by a path.

 とってもきれいな羽の色。

They have beautiful plumage.

カワガラス Brown Dipper

 シロクロヒタキの近くに、２羽のカワガラスがいました。

I found two Brown Dipper when I was watching a Little Forktail.

シロクロヒタキ Little Forktail

 名前の通り白と黒の鳥。水辺にいて、ハクセキレイのよう。

I saw them by the water.

ヤブドリ Steere’s Liocichla

 渓頭には、たくさんのヤブドリがいました。

There were lots of Steere’s Liocichla in Xitou Nature Education Area in Taiwan.

朝、ヤブドリたちは追いかけっこで賑やかでした。

They were chasing in the morning.

タイワンシジュウカラ Taiwan Tit

 ハイキングをしているとやって来た。とんがり頭がかわいい。

When I was hiking, a cute bird came.

 とてもすばしっこい小さな鳥。虫のような可愛い声。 They move quickly.

カササギ Magpie

 台北市内で車が行き交う道路に、カササギを見ました。美しいなぁ。

ヤマガラ Varied Tit

 台湾の烏來（ウーライ）で出会ったヤマガラ。日本のヤマガラとちょっと違って、お腹がとっても茶色い。

I saw Varied Tit in Wulai. I noticed that Taiwanese Varied Tit was a little different from Japanese Varied Tit.

カワビタキ Plumbeous Water Redstart

 メスはちょっと地味な色。でも、とっても可愛い。

 オスの尾羽が美しいのは、やはりメスにアピールするためなのでしょう。

A male Plumbeous Water Redstart came closer to a female bird.

オスが蝶をメスにプレゼント？　一瞬の出来事でした。　He had caught a butterfly for her?

カワビタキ Plumbeous Water Redstart

 ウーライ（烏來）の川には、何羽もカワビタキがいました。美しい色あいのオス。この辺りが縄張りなのでしょう。ずっといました。

I found several Plumbeous Water Redstart in Wulai. They live near rivers.

 オスは尾羽が赤い。　　The male birds have a red tail.
